Charles & Charles Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah 2013

Washington State

$9.99

This winery is delivering the goods at a price range I lurve. Like its rosé brethren, it brought a whole lotta fun to the inside of my mouth.

Initially it was bursting with ripe and juicy fruit flavors, followed by a sharp bite before the lingering, funky alcoholic finish. This one was a lady in the street but a freak in the sheets. She started out like Charlotte in Sex and the City but turned into Samantha by the time I swallowed it down, like a shot of, um, wheat grass. Read More

Red Diamond 2011 Merlot

Washington State
$7.99
Boy have I been enjoying some of these Washington State wines lately! That includes one that I had a few weeks back at my friend Bryan’s birthday dinner.

The “surprise” dinner party was booked at a fancy French restaurant where I ordered poorly and spent most of the time having food-envy, eyeing and flirting bites off the plates of other guests. Oh, and that wine, I can’t even remember what it was, but now that I’m writing this blog I suppose I should do a better job of taking notes.

The label on this Red Diamond Merlot encourages the drinker to “Reveal your Red Side.” Well, okay!
